PNP Heroes Honored at 19th PNP Anniversary

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Francis “Blueboy” Nepomuceno salutes the Angeles City Police officers and staff during the 19th Anniversary Celebration of the Philippine National Police (PNP) held at Camp Tomas Pepito, Sto. Domingo on February 25, 2010.

This year’s working theme “Kapulisan at Mamamayan: Bayanihang Pangkatahimikan at Kaunlaran” perfectly describes the unwavering partnership of the PNP and the civilian forces to sustain peace and order and to promote development in the community.

The event was highlighted by the recognition of commendable police officers and units.

Mayor Nepomuceno, alongside 600th Air Base Wing (ABW) Commander B/Gen Dominador J. Aquino III, was assisted by Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) Officer-in-Charge PSSupt Danilo A. Bautista in the presentation of awards to commissioned and non-commissioned officers who showcased praiseworthy accomplishments for the year 2009.

Leading the individual awardees are Model Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) of the Year PSupt Manuel S. Hidalgo; Model Junior PCO of the Year (Male Category) PCInsp Romeo P. Castro; Model Junior PCO of the Year (Female Category) PSInsp Myrna F. La Torre; Model Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) of the Year (Male Category) SPO3 Edsel C. Bautista; Model Senior PNCO of the Year (Female Category) SPO2 Evelyn M. Pineda; Model Junior PNCO of the Year (Male Category) PO3 Oliver C. Torres; Model Junior PNCO of the Year (Female Category) PO2 Christina P. Ramos; Model Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) of the Year NUP Magdalena C. Rosario; Model Traffic Enforcer of the Year SPO3 Edison C. Mamaradlo; Model Civilian Traffic Enforcer of the Year Ronald D. Pabalan; Special Award SPO4 Efren C. Emperador.

Police Station 1 was recognized as Model Police Station of the Year.

Awards were also handed to companies and individuals who contributed in the realization of PNP’s mission and vision. They are Sto. Rosario Brgy. Chairman Allan T. Guzman, R2 Builders Inc. Chairman Reghis M. Romero II, Fontana Casino Executive Manager Victor Lam, Savers Group of Companies President & CEO Jaime J. Uy, NCR Construction General Manager Charlie Coo, Coffee Academy’s Flor I. Arrozal, L&K Operations Officer Gemma Tapang, Soroptimist International – Angeles City Chapter President Cecille L. Lazatin, ABC Hotel CEO Gerard Heinen, COBRA Community Support Group President Rocelson R. Barantez, Fortune Seafood Restaurant’s Sonny Chan, and Businessman Wilfredo M. Ng.

Following the awarding, R2 Builders Chairman Reghis M. Romero II has presented the newly donated bicycles. A pass-in review was staged thereafter with the different units of the ACPO. YAM/CIO
